Christ is Risen!! He is risen indeed hallelujah!! This will be the resounding call and response throughout Christendom today and this season. In Luke 24: 1 – 12, we observe certain factors for our journey of faith.

Factor number one:- The disciples took the spices to the tomb assuming that Jesus body was still there, dead. This is an indicator that when things get really tough, we tend to live by sight rather than by faith. We tend to forget everything that God has said and promised, and rely on what we know and what has worked for us in the past.
Factor number two: They found the stone rolled away from the tomb. God rolled the stone away from the tomb to demonstrate to the believer that the tomb was empty. Jesus did not need to have the stone rolled away in order to get out, he was already out.

The evidence of this is what God was trying to establish by rolling the stone away.
Factor number three: While they were perplexed about this, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel. [v4] God does not allow us to live with confusion and dismay for too long before he intervenes. He intervenes sooner most of the time. He does not want us to suffer discouragement from being perplexed and confused by the complexities and difficulties if life. The angels appeared in a timely mater hence relieving their pain.

Factor number four: And as they were frightened and bowed, the men said to them, “why do you seek the living among the dead” [v 5] God is always ahead of us in everything. By the time we are thinking of doing something he has already gone ahead and done it and finished it. The disciples found the thought of Jesus resurrection unfathomable. I do not think that they had even pondered it, let alone imagine how it could possibly happen. While they were still in this stage of spiritual lethargy and unbelief, God had already gone ahead of them and raised Jesus from the dead. To search for the living among the dead is to declare a dreadful miss!! This is something that should not have happened at any one given time.
Factor number five: He is not here; he is risen, just like he told you in Galilee. [v6]. God always says things to us that he means. His word is true and faithful; there is no shadow of turning. The angels remind the disciples the words of Jesus, and they quickly remember, and their faith is quickened and strengthened.

Factor number six: and returning from the tomb, they told all these things to be eleven and to the rest [V9]. God wants us to testify of all that he has done for us, whether this testimony will actually be believed or not. What followed the testimony of the women was both belief and unbelief but they testified anyway.
