Wisdom is defined as the quality of having experience, knowledge and good judgement. It is the ability to maintain sagacity at all times, being sober. Mature and measured in all situation.
Other definitions render wisdom as the capacity of judging rightly in matters relating to life and conduct; soundness of judgement in the choice of means and ends.

The Bible categorizes wisdom into two; it talks about the wisdom of God and the wisdom of the world [James 3: 13 – 18]. The wisdom from God characterized as being “pure, peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere” [v17].

The wisdom from the world, on the other hand is characterized as having bitter jealousy ad selfish ambition in the heart, it is earthly, unspiritual and demonic, and produces a fruit of disorder and every wile practice [V 14-16].

In today's passage, Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite rises up to share some wisdom with Job. He has held back from commenting all the while because the thought that Job's other friends, being old, would have wisdom to correct him and guide him. Apparently not! They faltered, and Job persisted in his folly.

Firstly, Job was righteous in his own eyes and justifies himself rather than God. No matter how justified we feel about a matter, or how unfair the circumstances are to us, we can never charge God with wrong going, or somehow think that we are more righteous than He is because he seemingly has wronged us. This is total lack of wisdom and leads us down the road of self-destruction.

Secondly, wisdom is not found in age, as popular as that may sound. It is God's spirit and man's desire to understand what God teaches him, that make him [quote vs 7 – 9]
Thirdly, only God disperses wisdom, but on his terms. Without his instruction, we remain unwise and foolish [quote James 1:5].
